autism aged 7-11 every Saturday morning during term
time in Tangley Park Family Centre in Hampton, Richmond.
Each session lasts for one hour with a small group of
children in each session. We use the Intensive Interaction
Technique to teach the child how communication can be
both meaningful and enjoyable. Parents will also have the
benefit of being trained by me in this technique to continue the
work at home.
Children who benefit the most from this are those who are
non-verbal, in their early stages of communication or who are not apparently receptive to
communication and can remain isolated as a result.
These sessions are free to families and are funded by
Richmond Borough Council through Tangley Park
Family Centre.
